Radiate's Patron Saint

When I was in high school, I learned about this amazing young woman named Chiara Badano. She was an Italian teenager who lived a pretty ordinary life with an extraordinary love for God. Since the day I learned about her, I admired her joy, faithfulness, and positivity, even in the midst of extreme suffering. Her ordinariness stuck out to me, because it made sainthood seem more attainable. 

One of the first steps of starting Radiate was picking a Patron Saint. Blessed Chiara kept popping into my mind, and one might say she started Saint stalking me. The more I read about her, the more convinced I became that she is the perfect Saint for Radiate. Her nickname, Chiara Luce, means Clear Light, and her life embodied the meaning of radiating love, light, and joy. I hope my art can help bring a little more God into the world, just like she did.
